Are you ready to buy your first home in Central Arkansas? The Parsley-Tucker Team serves first-time homebuyers like you to find your dream home in Faulkner County!
Before favoriting a million homes on Zillow, you need to start with getting pre-approved!!!
You don’t want to fall in love with a house that’s way out of your budget! Save the heartache! Your pre-approval will tell you exactly what’s in your budget and how much your monthly payments will be!
Depending on your lender, pre-approval is good for about 30-90 days, so once you’re ready, it’s time to take these first 3 steps:
1. Contact us, and we’ll send over a list of lenders we know and trust.
2. Look over the list, check out online reviews, and ask friends and family for referrals.
3. Email 2-3 lenders you like, or let me introduce you over email.
Now that you have your pre-approval, it’s time to find your perfect first home!
First, create a list of everything you need in a house. Things like a certain amount of bedrooms and bathrooms or maybe you need a 1 story house so you don’t have to climb stairs, these are all needs. Needs are the non-negotiable features that you can’t live without.
Next create a “nice to have” list! These things are usually something that can be changed later down the road if you don’t find it at first.
Once you’ve established what you’re looking for, we’ll set you up on a search so you can receive an email the second a home that fits your criteria goes live. If you have any questions about a property, send us the information, and we will find out for you. Send us listings you like, and we can get more information and set up showings on your behalf.
After touring houses and choosing the one you love, it’s time to make an offer. To do this, you’ll need your pre-approval letter or proof of funds. You’ll also need to make an escrow deposit of at least 1-2% of the purchase price. This will go towards your closing costs at closing.
